Description
Migration affects all the world, including Europe. It’s a key feature of our contemporary world, but it still remains one of the least understood phenomena. As a number of migrants increases, a violent extremism is more visible. Such violent extremists are rising xenophobia and discrimination against immigrants. To reduce spreading negative portrayal of migrants in Europe, it’s important to set and keea p tolerant attitude among young people.
Young people are the ones who determine how the future world would look like, so we consider it significant that youthworkers should be aware of the causes, opportunities and consequences of migration in order to deepen and extend local activities in this field. To briefly introduce e-content of the project – during this training course, youth workers are going to train on strategies and actions to address the challenges and opportunities resulting from migration for young people. Activities are going to be focused on how to prevent negative effects of migration (such as marginalization) in society. Participants are going to share their country realities in this field, best practices and innovation in youth work related to this topic. Exploring EU policies is part of the course too, and we are also going to take a look at the influence of media. Non-formal education is the way we are going to approach the project’s objectives.
